As the battle for the International Monetary Fund's top job continues, it is clear that emerging markets may have a hard time staking their claim on the position of managing director. With Europe determined to retain its prerogative to appoint Dominique Strauss-Kahn's successor, Eswar Prasad says it's time for the emerging markets to make a game plan and ensure that the selection process is open and transparent.
